Standard Package:

Curlew Cottage can be rented for a minimum two nights stay or on a weekly basis. The price changes depending the time of year.

The standard price includes a welcome hamper of Milk, Bottled water, Orange Juice, Butter, Eggs, Cheese, Fresh Bread, Traditional Biscuits and a bottle of wine (please advise your preference for red or white). Tea, coffee, sugar and cereals are also provided.

There is an additional £25 charge per stay for the use of the Hot Tub.

** The discounted 7 night rate is only available during off peak periods (the second week of January to the end of May (but excluding the two week Easter period) and October through to mid December (excluding the two weeks closest to Christmas and the New Year).

  • Checking in and checking out times:
    Check-in is no earlier than 3.00 pm and if it's a weekly rental this will usually start on a Friday (but please ask if this is not suitable and we will be flexible where possible). All guests will be met at the cottage by owners Mike and Jayne - who will do a tour of the cottage and answer any questions.

    Check out time is no later than 11.00am. Please remove any food items from the fridge, put all dishes etc in the dishwasher and put rubbish in the outdoor bins. Please double check the cottage for any personal items and hand the cottage keys to the owners next door.
  • Family Fun!
    Cheshire is a beautiful county with many outdoor attractions. Below we have listed just a few as food for thought!

    Tatton Park is considered one of the finest in the National Trust. Spread over 50 acres the beautiful gardens reflect over 250 years of garden design. The gardens are renowned for their remarkable glasshouses (some built by Joseph Paxton), the extensive Kitchen Gardens and the Japanese Garden which is considered the finest in Europe.

    Tatton hosts over 100 events a year including the RHS Flower Show every July, Summer Picnic Concerts with the Hallé Orchestra, car shows, antiques fairs and much more (see website above for exact dates).

    Seven Sisters Farm has an abundance of space both inside the ice cream parlour and outside where there are fantastic views of the rolling Cheshire countryside. Fresh coffee and pots of tea and a selection of delicious homemade cakes are also available, and homemade soup is served throughout the winter months.

As well as Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, Manchester is home to the leading designer brands as well as one-off niche and specialist stores. All offered with a unique Mancunian touch. There is a direct train to Manchester from Nearby Plumley Train station.

    The historic city of Chester was founded by the Romans in AD79, and still shows many signs of its long and fascinating history. Built on the banks of the River Dee, the city now attracts visitors from around the globe, whether it be to walk the City Walls, visit the magnificent Cathedral, watch the Horse Racing or take advantage of the fantastic shopping, entertainment and dining options in the city. The city also boast’s some of the UK’s leading tourist attractions, including Chester Zoo. There is a direct train to Chester from Nearby Plumley Train station.

    This traditional 200 year old ‘Wayside’ Inn has splendid dining rooms, and a traditional country bar area complete with roaring log fires in the winter months.

    In response to customer demand their Sunday Carvery has returned and due to popularity booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Always on offer is a selection of 3 traditional roast meats in addition to a fish and vegetarian option. This combined with an array of starters and desserts make this a Sunday experience not to miss. For informal Sunday dining the Sunday Bar menu also offers a one course traditional roast dinner.

    The large garden is perfect for al fresco drinks, with a large lawn area and a small children’s play area, along with a ‘locals bar’ with dart board - providing something for everyone, including well behaved dogs.
  • Short term rentals:
    Occasionally a short term (1-2 months) rental may be needed, for a variety of reasons including:

    • delayed house move
    • building work or renovations
    • unexpected leaks or accident that mean you have to leave your home for a period of time

    On such occasions Curlew Cottage provides special all-inclusive weekly rates which are available on application (i.e. utility bills, council tax, satellite TV, bedding and towels).
  • Business accommodation package:
    The cottage is suitable for corporate stays Monday through to Thursday.

    At an additional cost we can arrange a delicious easy to prepare dinner.

    We can also take care of laundry as an additional cost and with advance notice.
  • Dog Clause:
    Well behaved pets are welcome but we do ask you to give a refundable deposit of £200, to confirm acceptance of our pet clause and to abide by the conditions stated therein.
